10 Frugal & Money Saving Tips 💰 These Changed My Life!
I used to go to a Mennonite church n Grantsville, Maryland where they wouldn't help the poor as they thought God was punishing them n rewarding the rich for living right so the rewarded n helped the rich . What they press hed is completely against what Jesus processed. What fools
Why does he have to repeat the same item twice
Great ❤❤❤😮😮😮😊😊😊
These are great! Thank you... and no ads. That's a bonus. We were raised with fine Antique furniture, pieces my mom typically found at a thrift store or yard sale and would restore beautifully. For water rings, we used mayonnaise as it had the oil, and the vinegar. Apply and wait till it turns clear, then wipe it off to find 95 to 100% of water stains gone, every time! 😊
Grandma would never waster a dryer sheet to dust baseboards, just a rag. Dryer sheets are too expensive.
"USED dryer sheets"
You must be thinking of grandma under 65 of years 😅
And, what's wrong with that? Think: "baby boomers" Lol
I don't remember my grandparents ever eating out. After my grandfather died she'd go to lunch on Sunday afternoon with my parents but that was after my grandfather passed.
If you can find coupons that's a great idea and what I used to do but unfortunately you can't find useful coupons anymore in my area.
My mother would shop the department store clearance racks for hours then wear the clothes for years!
Veterinarians know next to nothing about pet food and what's in it or what's healthy for your pets.
Using clear glass dishes (from glasses to plate sets) insures that when washed you can "clearly" see that they are clean because patterns tend to hide debris left behind, that is one of my Grandma's tips. Also, a hold over from the days of the dust bowl era, placing all cups and glasses upside down in the cabinets insure a cleaner surface when using, that's Grandma tip 2... I sew on my Grandma's treadle machine, saves on electricity and is tons of fun...
Manual mowing, then showing a mower with a sturdy black electrical cord. 🙄
The best things in life are free and cheep.
Doesn't seem like things folks would want to do.😊
Were no African-American grandmothers available from central casting when this nostalgic drivel was created?!
Where would we be without our grandma's. They are real gems!
For you people who are so picky and critical about “grandma” not having these things…… have you ever heard of using the grandma idea as a concept….. not literal? I’ m thankful these ideas were for modern items and households. I suppose you would have rather had “grandma” give advice on keeping your butter churn clean!!!
It's not so easy to make maple syrup, it takes alot of sap to make so little amount of syrup.
❤❤❤😮😮😮😊😊😊
Drying rack: These are also useful the rest of the year to avoid using the dryer and it won't burn off bits of your clothes as the dryer does. If you don't have $ for a drying rack, take some nails and a clothesline and string it from the top of the doorframe to the top of another doorframe across the room. Don't forget the clothes pins ;-).
You will need maybe 1 hour and not 10 minutes. 🤔 Just saying.
Nothing amazing about someone building wealth on top of huge inheritances. Run a story on someone that truly had nothing, came from nothing and was never given a leg up. That would be interesting.
Very interesting ideas but....how about tips to make food for your pets? Why does the animals always have to be last in line? Not very cool....!
Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this. And yes, I agree with you, animals don't have to be last in line. I actually added a tip on how you can make your own dog treats here -> ua-cam.com/video/TXCyUVLc2qg/v-deo.htmlsi=L1h2nR-TCZsqYg0B Hope this helps!
How about cats?@@SavingSavers
Irritating that a lot of mattresses now days are one sided.
Nobody ever said, before they died, “Darn! I wish I’d kept a cleaner house!”
I have thought this though
Recently I my dish washing soap went nearly empty, I added water into the last rest of my dish washing soap bottle, and this perfectly cleans well and makes spare soap use much easier when hand cleaning my knife, fork, spoon, cup, plate etc.
The baking soda & vinegar trick has never worked on a clog for me. However, I do use it occasionally to clean the garbage disposal.
My grandma had none of these things. Great ideas but none of this modern stuff was around when my grandma was alive.
These are some good tips, but most not from grandmas....guarantee grandma didn't have a squeegee for her carpet, paper coffee filters, drier sheets, tape lint rollers, didnt have a microwave, or a dishwasher
I used my linen shower curtains for my sliding doors for a few years then I decided that I needed a new lightweight summer bedspread. I couldn’t find one online. Everything was quilts and heavy fabric. I live in Florida and I wanted something lightweight and something pretty. So I turn my beautiful linen shower curtains into a beautiful bedspread for my queen size bed. And I sewed it all by hand because it was too big to sew on my sewing machine. Part of it I used, the no sew message but most of it I sewed by hand it looks like a high end bedspread. If I could take a picture and send it to you, I would. But I do all these things that you mention to save money to us on electricity I repurpose my old T-shirts as dust cloths, and cleaning cloth. I’ve done all these things for years. I never knew it was a Grande my thing I just thought it was an economical and small way of doing things. But I do like your channel. It’s very interesting. I have picked up some new tips as well and I thank you for that.
Thanks to you too, Marie for sharing this!
My grandma didn't have a CD to scare birds, but I do...still appreciate the tip
My grandma used an aluminum pie pan making a hole on the lip to put a string through, tied it to a stake in the ground and left the wind flip it around scaring birds away
No, grandma didn't ALWAYS do these. Thank goodness she didn't use some of them like vinegar on wood furniture.
@bettyir4302 I have natural wood furniture and this next method works for me. If there are traces of water left on the surface of the wooden table, after dust removal, make a solution using a 1:1 ratio of vinegar and olive oil, use it to remove the stain.
❤❤❤😮😮😮😊😊😊
Great tips … thank you 🙏🏼😘
You're welcome!
Grandma held a standard. She demanded and received quality and service.Shopkeepers and repairmen respected her .No floorwalker at Macy or any football field sized store ever send her wandering on a quest. She knew her budget down to the penny so salesmen had to romance her with manners, patience and a decent useful product. She had a job.She belonged to a union of housekeepers that knew their profession and held the line that we now suffer from the loss of.
Great .I.appreciate it.❤May God Bless You 🙏
Amazing .❤
Maybe you should check to make sure the pictures match because the dryer sheet tip ( I’am sure dryer sheets weren’t around in grandmas day ) she is using a scourer sponge
Thanks for noticing this, will do!
Grandma used as clothesline, not a dryer. Additionally, clean windows with coffee filters, but lady cleaning windows was not using coffee filters; ALSO, store onions in panty hose and picture displayed did not have onions stored, individually tied between each onion as suggested. Have only watched 2mins 18 seconds and I'm done.
This is a example of AI😂
